VANDUSER - Larry Joe Arthur, 53, died at 4:45 p.m. June 10, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born Jan. 30, 1950, in Wardell, son of William and Edward Lotha Vaught Arthur of Morehouse, he worked for Brown Shoe Co. for 20 years. He was a member of the Sikeston Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 3319, where he had served as a trustee, vice president and security guard.
On May 23, 1981, in Vanduser, he married Denise Jayne Foster who survives of the home.
Survivors in addition to his wife and parents include: one son, Billy Arthur of Cape Girardeau; three daughters and a son-in-law, Tracy and Chris Graves of Morley, Amy Arthur of Dexter and Chrissy Arthur of Vanduser; four sisters, Brenda Allen of Vanduser and Sue Delana, Karen Richardson and Sharon Bonner of Sikeston; his stepgrandmother, Elsie Arthur of Waldo, Ark.; and four grandchildren.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where Eagles rites and funeral services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Friday. The Rev. John Givens, pastor of Potter's House Ministry in Sikeston, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the New Morley Cemetery at Morley.
