CHARLESTON -- Carrie Anne Schwendemann and Kevin Wayne Renaud exchanged wedding vows in a 2 p.m. ceremony Feb. 8, 2003, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Monsignor Michael Swalina performed the double-ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Ann Schwendemann of Portageville and the late Robert Schwendemann. She is the granddaughter of Stella Hulshof of Portageville, Clara Schwendemann of Silex and the late Herman Hulshof and Anthony Schwendemann.
The bridegroom is the son of David and Marilyn Renaud of Charleston and grandson of the late Joe and Ben Lankheit and Dalbert Renaud.
Escorted by her youngest brother, the bride wore a halter neck gown of English satin which featured a V-shaped bodice which was detailed with intricate embroidery, covered with beading of crystals, pearls and rhinestones. Embroidery and beading complemented the design on the split-front princess line skirt, full chapel length train and matching shawl. She carried a cascade bouquet of fresh white and yellow roses with light blue delphinium and fresh ivy.
The reception was held in the St. Henry School gymnasium where guests were served a buffet style dinner provided by Ziegler's Catering. C.S.E. Sound System of Charleston provided music for the dance following the meal.
Mrs. Renaud is employed with the Division of Family Services in Sikeston.
Her husband is employed with Burch Food Services in Sikeston.
Following a honeymoon in San Antonio and Corpus Christi, Texas, Mr. and Mrs. Renaud are residing in Charleston.
