JACKSON - Fidela "Dale" Aters, 70, of Jackson died Sept. 9, 2003, at her home.
Born Dec. 6, 1932, in Guam, daughter of the late Jose and Maria Diaz Gutierrez Aguon, she lived in the state of California and moved to Jackson in 1995, after her retirement. She was a member of a Catholic church in Guam.
On July 15, 1976, in Orange County, Calif., she married Paul Aters who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: four sons, Roland Fernando of Guam, William Guinto of San Diego, Calif., James Guinto of Vallejo, Calif., and James Aters Jr. of South Bend, Ind.; four daughters, Doris Cruz and Donna Santos of Vallejo, Linda Guinto of Guam and Debra McEleney of Taunton, Mass.; four brothers, Rudy Aguon, Roy Aguon and George Aguon of Guam and Paul Aguon of Vancouver, Wash.; three sisters, Gloria Igisaiar of Guam, Ann Tydingco of Sacramento, Calif., and Diana Young of Hawaii; and 16 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson with Harold Althen officiating.
Burial followed in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
