Flora Conaway

DEXTER - Flora Mae Conaway, 96, died Aug. 20, 2003, at Cypress Point Health Care.

Born July 29, 1907, at Clifton, Tenn., daughter of the late Joe J. and Sarah Elizabeth Grimes Wells, she was a member of the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter.

On Sept. 29, 1923, at Tiptonville, Tenn., she married John Wess Conaway who preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1965.

Survivors include: one son, Curtis E. Conaway of Poplar Bluff; one daughter, Bessie Lee Moran of Dexter; and nine grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren, 22 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.

Three brothers and two sisters also preceded her in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Dexter with the Rev. Jimmy Kirby officiating.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
