Julia Bascom

Born Oct. 21, 1905, in Broseley, daughter of the late James W. and Elizabeth Mayberry Bates, she was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Dexter.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, W.D. Hibler and Tom Bascom.

Survivors include: two sisters, Esther Hibler and Nancy Jackson of Dexter; and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Bob Wiggins and the Rev. Mike Watkins will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
