Howard Cooper

Born June 29, 1934, at Malden, son of the late Norvel and Aquilla Stocks Cooper, he had been a farmer.

On May 3, 1975, at Malden, he married Catherine Williams who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Bruce Cooper of Puxico and Stephen Wayne Williams of Bernie; one daughter, Tammy McCourt of St. Louis; three sisters, Doris Cavin of Jefferson, Wis., Lois Cregg of Eureka and Connie Gist of Pacific; and six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by one son, Howard Ray Cooper and one brother, Verlon Cooper.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Bernie, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Don Cooper will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Bernie Cemetery.
