SIKESTON -- Justin Chance Taylor (Newton), 18, died Aug. 23, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born March 31, 1985, in Hayti, son of Dewayne and Caroline Taylor of Caruthersville, he attended New Dawn State School where he attended proms and was Valentine's King.
Other survivors include: one brother, Jason Dewayne Taylor of Caruthersville; one sister, Shawna Adams of Caruthersville; and grandparents, Charles and Zola Taylor of Caruthersville.
On Oct. 15, 1990, he was united with the Newton family which includes: his foster parents, Michael Wayne and Nola Ann Newton of Sikeston; foster brother, Shannon Michael Newton of Sikeston; a special nephew, Alan Michael Newton of Sikeston; and special friends, Wyatt, Ryan and Kenny.
His girlfriend, Jennifer Hayden, preceded him in death Aug. 9, 2001.
Justin's disease process ended his life. He made a difference while he was here. Memories of his laughter, his love for flowers and most of all his love for life will always be remembered. He is thankful to each person who loved him.
Visitation is from noon until 2 p.m. today at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston. Tom Ayers will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Sikeston Memorial Park Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: PSO Tim Bartlett, PSO Christopher Stewart, Sgt. Kevin Stafford and Sgt. Andy Cooper.
