BLODGETT -- Ella Virginia Deason, 72, died Aug. 24, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born March 13, 1931, in Fayette, Ala., daughter of the late James William and Odessa Mae White Gardner, she was a member of the Sixth Street Trinity Chapel.

On Dec. 9, 1960, she married Walter David "Dub" Deason who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: three sons, Walter David Deason III of Virginia, Ronald William Deason of St. Clair and Phillip Wayne Deason of Blodgett; two daughters, Ella Victoria Mae "Vicki" Marks of Hillsboro and Hope Anne Zarro of Florissant; six brothers, Robert E. Gardner of Sikeston, James O. Gardner of Columbus, Miss., Charlie G. Gardner of Anderson, Ind., Derrel Douglas Gardner of St. Charles, John M. Gardner of Smyrna, Tenn., and Dale Gardner of Bowling Green, Ky.; one sister, Martha Trull of Alabama; and 14 grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Ponder Funeral Home in Sikeston, where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. Robert Deason will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Blodgett Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be: Terry Deason, Thomas Deason, Daniel Deason, Mike Deason, Kevin Gardner and Steven Gardner.

Honorary pallbearers will be: Robert Gardner, Charlie Gardner, James Gardner, Douglas Gardner, Johnny Gardner, Dale Gardner and Wayne Ingram.
