SIKESTON - Sikeston's Roy Mitchell slipped around the Cape Central defense and skied up for an attempted slam dunk to begin the second quarter. However, he missed the dunk and was called for a technical foul. Mitchell led the team with 19 points as the Bulldogs lost the district title game to Cape Central Friday night.

CHARLESTON - Emphasizing the County Commission had no prior knowledge of overtime in the sheriff's department, Presiding Commissioner Fred DeField reported Thursday that a negotiated agreement had been reached regarding compensation to deputies and jailers.
