PORTAGEVILLE - Bedia Mae Springer, 86, died Aug. 23, 2003, at the Portageville Nursing Center.
She was born Aug. 30, 1916, in West Virginia, to the late Jules and Julia Morning Bills Porter.
In 1944 she married Benjamin (Bill) William Springer, who preceded her in death on March 4, 1975.
Preceding her in death in addition to her parents and husband were eight brothers and sisters, two grandsons and two great-grandsons.
Survivors include: four sons, William B. Springer Jr. of Miami, Fla., James Springer of Memphis, Tenn., Charles Springer of Louisville, Ky., and Danny Wright of Portageville; two daughters, Karen Robinson of Portageville and Joan Black of Barberville, W.V.; and 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild.
Visitation will begin at 6 p.m. today at the DeLisle Funeral Home. Services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Baptist Church with the Rev. Mark Inman officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Her grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
