Redneck fun

The Sikeston Area Chamber of Commerce annual Redneck Barbecue drew a large crowd Saturday to enjoy a variety of festivities.

In addition to a barbecue competition (top), activities included a Civil War re-enactment, music performed by local band Steelhorse, horseshoe tournament and a quilt show. "Patches The Clown (middle photo)," also known as Ken Stallings, entertained youngsters with his balloon art while Mason McPheeters (bottom), 3, found the snowcones more to his tastes.
