SIKESTON - As a result of outstanding scholastic achievement in her academic work at Stephens College, Mary Emma Allen was cited on the Dean's Honor Roll when it was announced this week.

NEW MADRID - A number of interested educators and participants are expected in New Madrid for the Junior Chamber of Commerce and New Madrid County Historical Society's reenactment of the Seige of New Madrid and the Battle of Island No. 10, and for other events planned in connection with the Centennial observances.

CHAFFEE - The annual Chamber of Commerce Installation Banquet has been scheduled at 7 p.m. Thursday at the Elks Lodge. Guest speaker for the event will be State Rep. Jerry Ford of Cape Girardeau. Officers to be installed for 1982 are: David Cooper, president; Jerry Wolsey, vice president; Joe Moharc, secretary and Marcus Lauck, treasurer.

NEW MADRID - She is a mommy, counselor, nurse, doctor, director, organizer and administrative assistant. Because of her ability to perform will in all these roles, the Pi Omicron Chapter of Beta Sigma Phi named Harriet Shy Porter the New Madrid Woman of the Year.

SIKESTON - During the month of March, Dr. John Doggett continues to conduct a workshop in art techniques at the Heritage House.
