Lilbourn man killed in accident

LaFORGE - A Lilbourn man lost his life Wednesday when he was involved in a one-vehicle traffic accident near LaForge.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported the accident at 1 p.m. on Route P in New Madrid County, three miles east of LaForge. Donald L. Caldwell, 48, was driving west when his vehicle went off the left side of the roadway and struck a tree.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Sparks Funeral Home in Charleston.
