CUPERTINO, Calif. - Billy Welch, formerly of Sikeston, Mo., passed away on Sept. 7, 2004, in Palo Alto, California, following a difficult battle with cancer.
Born in 1932, Billy graduated from Sikeston High School in 1950 and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force shortly after graduation. While serving in the military, Billy met and married his wife of 50 years, Min. In 1994 Billy retired from Hills Brothers Coffee with a commendable 32 years of service.
Billy is survived by his wife, Min; one son and daughter-in-law, Paul and Jane Welch; and one granddaughter, Ali. He is also survived by one brother, Larry; and three sisters, Ruth, Lillian and Loretta. Billy was preceded in death by his father, Lawrence; his mother, Lottie; four brothers, Leon, Tom, Bobby and Donald; and one sister, Lavern.
Billy will always be remembered as having a tremendous sense of values with exemplary honesty and integrity. He was a devoted family man full of compassion and had an infectious sense of humor. Billy will forever be missed by those who knew and loved him.
