NEW MADRID - Brandon LaQyawn Mosby, 21, died Aug. 23, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Feb. 4, 1982, in Hayti, son of Luvenia Mosby Jones of New Madrid and Steve "Bean" Wheeler of Farmington, he attended Portageville High School and New Madrid Country Central High School. He had been active in basketball, baseball and football.
Survivors in addition to his parents include: his stepfather, Willie Jones of the home; one son, Laquan Trevon Mosby of Howardville; one daughter, Abrasia Michelle Mosby of Howardville; three sisters, Christie Mosby and Asia Mosby of New Madrid and Tiffany Mosby Thomas of Cape Girardeau; and a special friend, Toni Boyd of Howardville.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Eula Bell and James Leroy Mosby.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at the First Baptist Church in Portageville with the Rev. Robert Anderson officiating.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Elton Brooks, Randall Mosby, Demetrick Smith, Richie Garmon, Cory Rowe and Willie Pointer Jr.
Honorary pallbearers will be: John L. Sykes, James Mosby, Antonio Sykes, Raniey Mosby, Micheal Sykes and Roosevelt Mosby.
