SIKESTON - In the city's paper salvage collection drive, the Cub Scouts collected a total of 15,518 pounds of wastepaper.

SIKESTON - An analysis of the need of a civic auditorium in Sikeston is being made by Thomas J. Stapleton, Jefferson City, director of research, Division of Commerce and Industrial Development of Missouri. Stapleton has met with the Chamber of Commerce civic auditorium committee. Lowell Webb has been appointed chairman of the civic auditorium campaign.

SIKESTON - The Sikeston 12-year-old Little League All-Stars will play Twin City tonight at 7 p.m. for the District 3 Championship at the Recreation Complex. Members of the 1984 team are Chad Borders, Tommy Summers, Britt Duke, Tripp Dacus, Danny Hutton, Robin Butler, Carter Long, Brian Rhodes, Matt Vaughn, Jeff Ramsey, Matt Tanner, Scott Mays and Bert Applewhite. Coaches are Jim Seabaugh and Ron Borders and Jim Wilson is manager.

SIKESTON - Students with perfect attendance for the 1993-1994 school year received a certificate for perfect attendance and a $25 savings bond and were honored at a party July 21. Honored students were: Zachary L. Aldrich, Aaron Brookins, Charles Flint, Adrian Gibson, Dean Gibson, Lorenzo Pettis, Steven Tillman, Tramaine Vornes, Michael White, Candis Beasley, Courtney Beasley and Natoshia Beasley.

CHARLESTON - Grand, the drug dog for Mississippi County Sheriff's Department, assisted Charleston Public Safety officers in a drug raid Friday. Three persons were arrested, and the weapon and drug paraphernalia were confiscated during the raid.
