PARAGOULD, Ark. - Iva Dell Hart, 74, formerly of Portageville, Mo., died at 11:28 a.m. Sept. 20, 2003, at the Arkansas Methodist Hospital.
Born March 21, 1929, in Knobel, Ark., daughter of the late Homer Lewis and Opal Jenkins Barksdale, she earned a Bachelor of Science in education. She was a school teacher for seven years at Knobel and 27 years in Portageville before retiring and was of the Church of Christ belief.
Her first husband, Raymond E. Hart, preceded her in death on June 10, 1970. She married Julian Hart and he survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Susan Forester of St. Clair and Roberta "Robbie" Dale of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; one stepson, David Hart of St. Louis, Mo.; two sisters, Norma Lack of Paragould and Georgia Hill of Union, Mo.; one brother, John Barksdale of Jonesboro; and four grandchildren.
One granddaughter, Jessica Raye Dale, also preceded her n death.
Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. today at Ermert Funeral Home in Corning.
Visitation will continue from noon Tuesday until service time at 2 p.m. at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
