SIKESTON - Marcella Crowson Caldwell, 76, died at 8:55 p.m. Sept. 20, 2003, at Baptist East Hospital in Memphis, Tenn.
Born June 29, 1927, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Jessie and Fairrie Barnhill Golightly, she was of the General Baptist belief. She was a retired cook and had worked for the National Lock Company.
On April 26, 1949, in Sikeston, she married James T. Crowson who preceded her in death on July 1, 1984.
Survivors include: one son, Glen E. Grigsby of Morehouse; three daughters, Gail Ryan of Pilot Grove and Vicki Pedroza and Donna Alexander of Sikeston; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren; and a special friend, Murrell Leek of Dexter.
Two sons, two brothers and one sister also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel where services will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Tom McCanless, pastor of the Kewanee Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Pallbearers will be: Jason Alexander, Kris Alexander, Brad Alexander, Tim Grigsby, Matt Hawkins and Dustin Hall.
