JEFFERSON CITY -- The Missouri Sportswriters and Sportscasters Association released the All-State football teams for Class 4, Class 5 and Class 6 today.
Four players from the SEMO Conference were selected. In Class 4, Poplar Bluff's Trell Edington was named the kicker on the first team. The 6-foot-1, 170 pound junior booted 7-of-11 field goals this year with a long of 51. He also made 36-of-38 PATs.
Teammate Andrew Heuiser was named a second team receiver. The 6-foot, 170 pound senior led the SEMO Conference with 840 yards receiving on 42 catches, scoring 10 touchdowns. Cape Central's Mitch Craft was named second team at quarterback. This year the 6-foot-3, 215 pound senior threw for 2,097 yards on 116-of-205 passing with 12 touchdowns. He also had 456 yards rushing.
Teammate Colin Shermann was named the second team kicker. The 6-foot, 160 pound senior made 36-of-41 PATs and nailed 7-of-15 field goals with a long of 51. He also had 32 touchbacks on kickoffs.
