MATTHEWS -- Maggie Jewell Harrison, 80, died at 4:02 p.m. Nov. 30, 2006, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Sept. 13, 1926, in Knoxville, Ark., daughter of the late William Howard "Bill" and Virgie Mae Manning Robertson, she was a housewife and co-owner and operator of service stations in Anderson, Ind. She had lived in Matthews for the past 20 years and had previously resided in Anderson and Claremont, Fla. She was a member of the Matthews Missionary Baptist Church.
In July 1957, in Anderson, she married Howard J. "Shorty" Harrison, who preceded her in death on April 5, 1984.
One son, one daughter and three brothers also preceded her in death.
Survivors include: two sons and one daughter-in-law, James M. Harrision of Sulphur Springs, Ind., and Hubert H. and Connie S. Harrison of Middleton, Ind.; one daughter, Janie L. Junkersfeld of Alexandria, Ind.; three sisters, Robbie Clark of Matthews, Mary Althage of Melbourne, Ark., and Elizabeth "Jo" Coffman of Matthews; and 19 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Blanchard Funeral Chapel, where services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Rodney Dunlap, former pastor of Matthews Missionary Baptist Church, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Matthews City Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Michael Robertson, Sherman Mims, Micah Givens, Darryl Bratton, Justin Poley and Dustin Poley.
Honorary pallbearers will be: Hubert Harrison and Howard "Leo" Coffman.
