SIKESTON -- Diane Kay Warner and James Michael Arnold exchanged wedding vows in a 1 p.m. ceremony Nov. 1, 2003, at Wesley United Methodist Church in Sikeston. The Rev Richard C. Lasley performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Paul Warner and Carolyn Swanson of Hope Mills, N.C., and parents of the bridegroom are Fleta Jo Arnold of Sikeston and the late James "Pick" Arnold.
Vocalist Rhonda Welch of Charleston provided music for the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father.
Deborah Yoder of Gambrills, Md., attended the bride as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kathie Archie of Sikeston and Vickie Howard of St. Louis, sisters of the bridegroom and Elizabeth Archie of Sikeston, niece of the bridegroom. Flower girl was Jasmine Kennedy, great-niece of the bridegroom and daughter of Chris and Gina Archie of Matthews. Jeff Archie of Sikeston attended his uncle as best man. Groomsmen were Clinton Wright and Marland Beaudean of St. Louis and John Ferrell of Winchester, Ky. Honorary groomsman was Mark Arnold of Sikeston, brother of the bridegroom and ring bearer was Skyler Archie, great-nephew of the bridegroom and son of Chris and Gina Archie.
John Howard of St. Louis and Chris Archie of Matthews, nephews of the bridegroom, were ushers and Gina Archie of Matthews, niece of the bridegroom, was guest book attendant.
The wedding reception was held in the Clinton Building in Sikeston where guests were served by Gina Archie of Matthews and Betty Miller of Sikeston, aunt of the bridegroom.
Flower arrangements for the bridal party were created by Louise Masters of Cape Girardeau, aunt of the bridegroom.
The new Mrs. Arnold is a student at the Southern College of Maryland, where she is pursuing a degree in radiology. She is an executive administrator for Heffron Corporation in Rockville, Md.
A graduate of Sikeston High School, Arnold attended the University of Missouri School of Law. He is practicing in bankruptcy and real estate law for the Law Group.
The couple is planning a delayed honeymoon trip for next summer and are making their home in Crafton, Md.
