SIKESTON -- Barbara Joyce Whitlock and Jeffrey Wayne Breedon were married in a 2 p.m. ceremony Nov. 30, 2002, at the First United Methodist Church in Sikeston. The Rev. Sandra Schaller, associate pastor, performed the ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Whitlock of Sikeston and the bridegroom's parents are Mr. and Mrs. Larry Clayton of Rector, Ark., and the late Alfred Breedon.
Organist Beverly Reese of Cape Girardeau provided music for the ceremony.
Escorted and given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a satin gown with sheer organza overlay, embellished with iridescent beading. The veil cascaded from a rhinestone, crystal and pearl tiara and she carried a bouquet of white Eskimo roses, white calla lilies, ivy and stephanotis.
Dawn Byrd Knoderer served as matron of honor and bridesmaids were Tammy Carlyle and Jaime Engle. Katherine Whitlock, niece of the bride, served as flower girl.
The bridesmaids wore burgundy velvet gowns featuring crystal buttons, which were complemented with a duster. Each carried hand bouquets of Virginia roses.
Best man was Tony Vincent and groomsmen were Ted Ross and James Squires. William J. Whitlock, nephew of the bride, was ring bearer.
The men in the wedding party wore charcoal black tuxedos with silver vests and black neckties. Their ensembles were completed with a stephanotis attached to the lapel.
Guest book attendant was Nancy Nunn, cousin of the bride, and wedding coordinator was Peggy Bentlage, friend of the bride.
A buffet style rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bride's parents at Rebecca Sharp's in New Madrid, where entertainment was provided by Bob Donze.
