ROCKVIEW -- Norman S. Gribler, 66, died at 9:45 a.m. Oct. 15, 2007, at his home.

Born Nov. 19, 1940, at McGee, to the late William Steward and Dolly Lucille McKnight Gribler, he had been an employee in the tool section of Lowe's in Cape Girardeau. A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, he retired as a master sergeant. He was a member of New Hope Apostolic Church and a 32nd Degree Mason with the Chaffee Masonic Lodge No. 615 AF&AM.

On Dec. 23, 1961, he married Carol L. Crowden who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Kevin S. Gribler of Rockview; one daughter, Stephanie Wiley of Chaffee; one brother, Herman "Bob" Gribler of Jackson; one sister, Rebecca Moore of Jackson; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.

Visitation is at 5 p.m. today with Masonic services at 7 p.m. at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Revs. C.B. Stidham and Stephen Niswonger will officiate.

Burial with full military rites will follow in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Bloomfield.

Pallbearers will be: Ron Crowden, Gary Crowden, Howard Lynn, Edward Moore Jr., Roger Blue and Roger Lynn.
