Born Sept. 22, 1927, at Essex, son of the late Alt and Minnie Newell Grim, he was a member of the South Van Buren General Baptist Church in Van Buren, a former 30-year employee of General Motors at Pontiac, Mich., and a veteran of the U.S. Army.
On Dec. 31, 1955, at Hernando, Miss., he married Doris DeArman who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two daughters, Nancy Grim and Lisa Hart of Van Buren; four sisters, Opal Wyatt of Chaffee and Flora White, Louise Johnson and Pansy Woodruff of Dexter; and one granddaughter, Nicole Denae Hart of Van Buren.
He was also preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Services are scheduled for 1 p.m. today at the Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Ronnie Clubb officiating.
Burial will follow in the Dexter Cemetery.
