Ruby Pearl Varnon, 90, died at 2:20 a.m. Jan. 19, 2004, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born Dec. 27, 1913, in Commerce, daughter of the late Arthur Newton Wright and Zelma Mae O'Guinn, she was a seamstress for Ely Walker in Illmo. She was a member of the Fellowship Baptist Church in Cape Girardeau.
On Sept. 12, 1934, in Benton, she married Sam Jarrett Varnon who preceded her in death Jan. 11, 1978.
She was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
Survivors include: one sister, Evangline Wade of Benton.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City where services are scheduled for 11 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Marlyn "Bud" Schott will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oakdale Cemetery at Commerce.
Pallbearers will be: Jim Wade, Chuck Wade, Alan Wright, Randy Vetter, Cleo Wright and Ron Wright.
