Stacey Marie Bowers, 34, died at 7:20 p.m. Jan. 19, 2004, at the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston from injuries sustained in an automobile accident on Highway 62 west of Bertrand.
Born Nov. 30, 1969, in Sikeston, daughter of Brad Bowers of St. Louis and the late Joan Marie Groves Bowers, she had lived in Bertrand her entire life and had been employed as payroll clerk at Kontek Industries in New Madrid. She was of the general Baptist belief.
In addition to her father, survivors include: two brothers, Cory Bowers and Travis Bowers of St. Louis; one sister, Darice Bowers Sawyer of Sikeston; and her maternal grandfather, W.C. "Dub" Groves of Bertrand.
Her maternal grandmother, Martha McClain Groves, also preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the McMikle Funeral Home in Charleston, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday. The Rev. Larry Kirby, pastor of the Abundant Grace Church at Bertrand, will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery near Charleston.
