ST. CHARLES - Lillian Patterson, 89, formerly of Sikeston and Los Angeles, died March 24, 2004, at her home.

Born Oct. 7, 1914, in Sikeston, daughter of the late Lawson and Mabel Darter Patterson, she was a business and industry teacher for the Los Angeles School District for 33 years before retiring and was also an art instructor for the J. Paul Getty Museum in Los Angeles.

She was preceded in death by one daughter, Jo Ann Fuller; one son, Ed Fuller; and one sister, Geneva Malian.

Survivors include: one sister, Camille Swoboda of Cairo, Ill.; one brother, Bill Patterson of Little Rock; and seven grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.

The body was cremated and no services are scheduled. Burial will be in the Sikeston City Cemetery.

Baue Funeral Home of St. Charles is in charge of arrangements.
