Born Dec. 14, 1932, in Dexter, daughter of the late Rachel McClard Barker of Dexter and the late William Albert Barker, she was a member of the First Christian Church of Dexter where she also served as secretary. A member of Stoddard County service organizations, she lived in Dexter most of her life.
Survivors in addition to her mother include: one son, David Edwards of Farmington; two daughters, Diane Berry of Neelyville and Denise Nelson of Dyss Air Force Base, Texas; one brother, Bill Barker of Dexter; three sisters, Virginia Fithian and Wanda Chambers of Lewistown, Ill., and Angelyn Jackson of Athens, Ala.; and four grandchildren, four stepgrandchildren and eight stepgreat-grandchildren.
One sister, Pearl Swinger, preceded her in death.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Vaughn Wright will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Hagy Cemetery at Dexter.
