JEFFERSON CITY - State Sen. John Dennis is among a group of Democrats calling on Gov. Christopher Bond to abandon his order to the Department of Revenue. The governor has told that department to withhold income tax refund checks. Democrats say the policy is unfair, and business tax refund checks should be held before individual refunds.
CHARLESTON - David DeLine, 11, drew a sketch of a UFO he sighted Dec. 27 outside his parents' rural Charleston home for Charlie Moore and J.L. Palermo, investigators for MUFON. Describing the "cigar-shaped" object with a red glow and about the size of a large car, DeLine spiritedly reported he kept saying, "What should I do?" before electing to run and hide his head under the covers. Still excited about the experience Saturday, DeLine said he knows now he should have awakened his parents because, "Dad said he always wanted to see one (UFO)."
