CHAFFEE - Jack Edward Vail, 82, died at 10:40 p.m. Feb. 27, 2005, at the Camelot Rehab and Nursing Center in Farmington.
Born Nov. 28, 1922, in Wichita, Kan., son of the late George Randolf and Flossie Elmira Warfield Vail, he was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran of World War II. He retired as a district lineman for the City of Los Angeles Department of Electric Power. He was of the Baptist belief and a member of Salem Masonic Lodge 225 AF&AM.
On Oct. 17, 1945, he married Naomi Blue who preceded him in death on April 3, 1996.
One daughter and one brother also preceded him in death.
Survivors in addition to his wife include one sister, Betty Hodges of Wichita; and one grandchild and one great-grandchild.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee where Masonic rites will be conducted at 7 p.m. by Morley Masonic Lodge 184.
Services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home with the Rev. Doug McClellan officiating.
Burial will follow in the Kenyon Cemetery at Delta.
