Police seek a suspect in sexual assault case

DEXTER -- Police officers in Dexter are looking for man after a sexual assault Tuesday.

At approximately 9:23 a.m., officers with the Dexter Police Department responded to a residence located in the northwest sector in reference to a burglary in progress.

Upon investigating the complaint officers learned an unknown subject had forcibly entered the residence. The female resident arrived home and was confronted by the suspect. A sexual assault then occurred with the victim receiving minor injuries.

The suspect was described as a white male, dirty, wearing light colored jeans and white shoes.

The investigation is ongoing.
