Long-time workers honored

SIKESTON - The Long Term Care Ombudsman Program recently honored two employees at the Sikeston Health Care Center.

Social Service Director Kathy Collins has been at the center for 25 years and Activity Director Pam Little has been there for 24 years. The awards were presented in appreciation of loyal service to the residents on Aug. 26 at an appreciation ceremony.

Also present were Ombudsman Regional Director Imogene Unger, Ombudsman Sue Edwards, State Rep. Lanie Black, Scott County Commissioner Walter Bizzell, Health Systems Inc. Vice President Jimmy Lincoln, Sikeston Healthcare Administrator Tom Ayers, Director of Operations for Healthy Systems Region I Tony Prather, Director of Nursing Susan Lowe, Office Manager Krystal Ellison, Certified Nurse Aide Willie Jean Barnhill, Kevin Wright for the maintenance department and Norma Smart and Janet Harp, representing the housekeeping department.
