DEXTER - Joy Angela Long, 76, died Sept. 11, 2003, at St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born May 2, 1927, in Flippin, Ark., daughter of the late Luther Earl and Ida Isodora Reed Cunningham, she was a lifelong area resident.
On July 27, 1946, in Dexter, she married Charles Eugene Long who preceded her in death on June 22, 1999.
Survivors include: one son, Michael Long of Fort Smith, Ark.; three daughters, Regena Barrett of Wappapello, Peggy Fowler of Nixa and Eugena "Gena" Skovran of Richmond, Texas; one brother, Lester Cunningham of Wappapello; two sisters, Nerine Hamilton of Saginaw, Mich., and AnnaLea Mansbridge of Fisk; and six grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services were conducted Saturday at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Wendy Downing officiating.
Burial followed in the Dudley Cemetery.
