Born Jan. 27, 1947, in Akron, son of the late Samuel Lewis and Edna Garland Boone, he graduated from Parma High School. A U.S. Army veteran, he lived in Ohio for the past 30 years, where he was a pipefitter for the Ford Motor Company. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge.
His wife, Jan Boone, survives of Oakwood Village.
Other survivors include: one son, Chad Boone of Barberton; three daughters, Tonja Boone of Akron and Amy Williams and Lisa Earnhart of Dexter, Mo.; two sisters, Bertha Truett of St. Louis and Patricia Mallady of Campbell, Mo.; three grandchildren, Amber Williams, Heath "Scooter" Williams and Aaron Earnhart; his father- and mother-in-law, William and Evelyn Peacock of New Madrid, Mo.; and several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter, where services are scheduled for 2 p.m. Sunday. The Rev. Kenneth Biggs of Dexter will officiate.
The Missouri Honors Program will conduct graveside military rites at the Dexter Cemetery.
