STAUNTON, Ill. - Virginia Ehlers Dusablon, 85, formerly of Maynard, Iowa, died June 11, 2003, at the Heritage Manor Nursing Home in Staunton.

Born Feb. 1, 1918, at Oelwein, Iowa, daughter of the late Julius and Martha Ellisat Ehlers, she retired from the State of Missouri Division of Employment Services and was a member of Hope Lutheran Church in Jerseyville.

On Sept. 3, 1939, in Maynard, she married Paul Dusablon, who preceded her in death on May 23, 1993.

Also preceding her in death were one daughter, Rachelle Dusablon Ali on March 11, 1996; five brothers, Herbert Ehlers, Alfred Ehlers, Harold Ehlers, Walter Ehlers and Arthur Ehlers; two sisters, Lillian Ehlers and Edna Ehlers; and one grandson.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Paul and Joan Dusablon Jr. of St. Louis, Mo., and Arthur and Sue Dusablon of Carmi; one daughter and son-in-law, Yvonne and the Rev. Dr. Leslie Mitkos of Staunton; one sister, V. Clara Harrison of Iowa City, Iowa; and 12 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 10 a.m. Saturday until service time at noon at the Jamison-Schmitz Funeral Home in Maynard. The Rev. Dr. Leslie Mitkos will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Long Grove Cemetery at Maynard.
