MARSTON - Lawson Redden, 76, died March 5, 2003, at the Sikeston Convalescent Center.
Born July 5, 1926, in Sardis, Tenn., son of the late Charles and Sarah Lou Hunt Redden, he retired from the E.B. Gee Co. and was a member of the Free Trinity Pentecost Church in Marston.
On Feb. 4, 1945, in Portageville, he married Christine Samples who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Redden and Wyman Redden of Marston; three daughters, Marilyn Thomason and Skyla Walker of Marston and Mary Lou Finley of Greenville, Tenn.; two sisters, Frankie Gaines of Hayti and Eartie Ash of Clarkton; one brother, Elco Redden of Clarkton; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Redden, Jack Redden, Earl Redden and Melvin Redden; and one sister, Eva Redden.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Tom McCanless and the Rev. Jason Redden will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Redden, Jason Redden, Dustin Redden, Barry Thomason, Shawn Walker and Clay Finley.
