CHARLESTOWN, Ind. - John Thomas Goetz - what a great, great loss to this world and a great gain for eternity.
If you did not know John Thomas Goetz, you have another opportunity to hear friends, family, ministers of the gospel and singers of the "Kingdom Message" sharing a small portion of their awesome relationships with this awe-inspiring man of God as he walked and talked on this Earth.
Goetz died Oct. 6, 2002, at Clark Memorial Hospital in Jeffersonville. Born Jan. 24, 1941, in Sikeston, he was the son of the late Francis F. and Theta Leaun Pry Goetz.
On July 24, 1960, in Sikeston, he married Tressie Sugg who survives of the home.
He was a native of Sikeston, a pastor, evangelist, missions, church administrator, consultant spiritually and naturally as well as having a family business. Goetz Enterprises has been a distributor for the Shaklee Corporation for 31 years and he was also a veteran of the National Guard.
Survivors in addition to his wife include: one son, Nathaniel J. Goetz of Tampa, Fla.; two brothers, Louie Glenn Goetz of Sikeston and Terry Goetz of McDonough, Ga.; two sisters, Glenda Woods of Jeffersonville and Patricia Stroup of LaPlace, La.; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services for John Thomas Goetz, 61, of Charlestown, will be held at 2 p.m. today at the Scott Funeral Home North Chapel in Jeffersonville.
Visitation begins at noon Thursday at the Church On the Rock in Sikeston, where inspirations will begin at 2 p.m.
Burial will follow in Garden of Memories Cemetery in Sikeston.
Nunnelee Funeral Chapel of Sikeston is in charge of local arrangements.
