CAPE GIRARDEAU - Wanda Fitzpatrick, 82, died Feb. 4, 2005, at the St. Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.
Born April 17, 1922, in Canalou, to Florence Emma Robinson of Cape Girardeau and the late Lester Hugh Poe, she worked for the catalog department at Sears in Cape Girardeau. A member of the Bethany Baptist Church, she served as treasurer of the Joy Club, was a member of the Bethany Baptist Sewing Ladies, served on the Benevolence Committee and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution.
In 1940, at Benton she married Cecil A. Fitzpatrick who preceded her in death on Nov. 22, 1987.
One son also preceded her in death.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by: two sons, Lynn Fitzpatrick and Jon Fitzpatrick of Cape Girardeau; one daughter, Cecile Busch of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Evelyn Delbridge of Edwardsville, Ill., Vivian Jackson of Cape Girardeau and Peggy Baird of Valparaiso, Ind.; and one grandchild.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today at the Ford and Sons Mt. Auburn Funeral Home where services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday. The Rev. Shawn Wasson will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Memorial Park Cemetery at Cape Girardeau.
