Emory McGee

ADVANCE - Emory U. McGee, 77, died March 21, 2003, at the Advance Nursing Center.

Born Aug. 5, 1925, in McGee, son of the late Hugh and Lucy Briscoe McGee, he was a 1945 graduate of Advance High School where he played varsity basketball from 1942 to 1945. He owned the Advance Body Shop for 30 years and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

One brother, Lyman L. McGee of Advance, survives.

He was preceded in death by one brother and one sister.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home where services are scheduled for 10:30 a.m. Tuesday. The Rev Bob Porter and the Rev. Ray Placher will officiate.

Burial will follow in the McGee New Hope Cemetery at McGee.
