Born July 5, 1926, in Sardis, Tenn., son of the late Charles and Sarah Lou Hunt Redden, he retired from the E.B. Gee Co. and was a member of the Free Trinity Pentecost Church in Marston.
On Feb. 4, 1945, in Portageville, he married Christine Samples who survives of the home.
Other survivors include: two sons, Jerry Redden and Wyman Redden of Marston; three daughters, Marilyn Thomason and Skyla Walker of Marston and Mary Lou Finley of Greenville, Tenn.; four sisters, Frankie Gaines of Hayti, Eartie Ash of Clarkton and Maneen Carter and Wilma Allen Niles of Niles, Mich.; two brothers, Elco Redden of Clarkton and Shelton Samples of Portageville; and nine grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, James Redden, Jack Redden, Earl Redden and Melvin Redden; and one sister, Eva Redden.
Visitation begins at 5 p.m. Friday at DeLisle Funeral Home in Portageville, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday. The Rev. Don McCanless and the Rev. Janson Redden will officiate.
Burial will follow in the Portageville Cemetery.
Pallbearers will be: Keith Redden, Jason Redden, Dustin Redden, Barry Thomason, Shawn Walker and Clay Finley.
