CHAFFEE - Anna Francis Maples, 94, formerly of Puxico, died March 4, 2003, at the Chaffee Nursing Center.
Born March 17, 1908, in Wayne County, daughter of the late William N. and Zora Kay Wilfong Westbrook, she was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
On Dec. 12, 1928, she married James E. Maples who preceded her in death on Oct. 23, 1983.
Survivors include: one son, Herman Maples of Kansas City; three daughters, Hazel Short of Jackson, Helen Wilson of Whitewater and Connie Spane of Chaffee; one brother, Ervin Westbrook of St. Louis; two sisters, Sylvia Stapp of Chaffee and Lora Maguffie of Flint, Mich.; and nine grandchildren, three stepgrandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, a great-great-grandchild, and a stepgreat-great-grandchild.
Visitation begins at 4 p.m. Friday at the Morgan Sifford Funeral Home in Puxico, where services are scheduled for 1 p.m. Saturday.
Burial will follow in the Puxico City Cemetery.
