SPRINGFIELD - LaKeisha L. Shannon, 25, died March 1, 2003, at Doctor's Park Hospital in Springfield.
Born Jan. 3, 1978, in Hayti, daughter of Cora Dority of Cape Girardeau and Sylvester Williams of Long Oak, Ark., she attended Lilbourn Elementary School and Sikeston Public Schools. A member of New Life, New Beginning Outreach Center, she was also a member of Kid's Beat.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Zykei McBride, on Feb. 25, 2003.
Survivors in addition to her parents include: her fiance, Leroy McBride of Springfield; five brothers, Oscar Shannon and Jessie Tate Shannon of Springfield, Tiah Williams, Eric Williams and Tray Williams of Long Ark.; and six sisters, Virgie Rease and Nicole Marks of Sikeston, Delcina Shannon of Cape Girardeau, Kimberly Williams, Shekila Williams and Angel Williams of Long Oak.
Visitation is from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. Saturday at the New Life, New Beginning Outreach Center, where combined services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Bishop Nathaniel Green, pastor, will officiate.
Burial will follow in Simmons Park Cemetery at Catron.
