NEW MADRID - William Earl Andrews, 75, died at 6:30 p.m. June 9, 2003, in New Madrid.

Born April 29, 1928, in Cleveland, Ark., son of the late John and Ora Jordan Andrews, he worked for Associated Natural Gas in New Madrid before retiring. He coached Little League baseball for many years and was a member of the Church of Christ, Kiwanis Club, Volunteer Fire Department and the Masonic Lodge, all in New Madrid, and was an avid hunter and fisherman.

On March 9, 1949, in Piggott, Ark., he married Rena Warren who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two sons, Michael Andrews of Collierville, Tenn., and Ron Andrews of Jackson; one daughter, Sharon Frankum of Ste. Genevieve; two sisters, Lois Plunk of Morehouse and Loetta Andrews of Sikeston; his stepfather, Artrue Becker of Sikeston; two half brothers, Carl Becker of Washington, Ill., and Glenn Becker of Sikeston; and seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Nunnelee Funeral Chapel, where Masonic rites will be conducted at 7:30 p.m.

Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home with Ed Thomason, minister of the New Madrid Church of Christ, officiating.

Burial will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery in Sikeston.
