MACCLENNY, Fla. - Bobbie Charlene Stokes, 71, died June 2, 2003, in Jacksonville.

Born May 18, 1932, in Blytheville, Ark., daughter of the late Felix P. and Dorothy Moody Mosley, she lived in St. George, Ga., before moving to Macclenny seven years ago. She was a store manager for the Dollar General Store in Macclenny for 12 years before retiring in 1993 and was a member of Glen Friendship Tabernacle Church in Glen St. Mary.

Her husband, Owen Stokes, survives of the home.

Other survivors include: two daughters and sons-in-law, Darlene and Jack Hilliard of Jacksonville and Lajuata and Lee Maddox of Homerville, Ga.; eight sons and six daughters-in-law, Larry Wayne Allmon of Sikeston, Mo., Thomas Michael and Kathy Allmon Sr. of Bertrand, Mo., Ricky Dale and Nancy Allmon of Blackshear, Ga., James Kalvin and Ruth Allmon of Macclenny, Jeffery Lynn and Vicki Allmon of Jacksonville, Jimmy and Kathy Edenfield of Mobile, Ala., Danny Edenfield of Homerville and John Leland and Michele Edenfield of St. George; three sisters, Carolyn Schroeder of O'Fallon, Mo., Annie Sells of Sikeston and Eula Martindale of New Madrid, Mo.; and 26 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

Services were conducted at 10 a.m. today at the Glen Friendship Tabernacle with Dr. Albert Starling officiating.

Burial followed in the Canaday Cemetery in Moniac, Ga.

Fraser Funeral Home of Macclenny was in charge of arrangements.
