MALDEN - Gordon Waller has accepted the position of president/CEO for the First National Bank. Waller brings with him 32 years of banking experience as vice president, senior loan officer and president of area banks.
"I am very pleased to have the opportunity to join the First National Bank Team. I look forward to working with the Board of Directors and staff in our Dexter, Malden, Clarkton and Kennett locations," said Waller. "I am especially excited about being able to help our customers take advantage of the many resources and services First National Bank has to offer."
SIKESTON - Two employees were honored for their performance during the first quarter by the city of Sikeston.
Chris Hart, was recently named Sikeston's Public Works Employee for the Second Quarter and presented with a plaque and check by Mayor Phil Boyer as tokens of the city's appreciation. A two-year veteran of the Parks Division, Hart serves as the its lead man and contributes to ongoing maintenance of the city's parks and was always the first to volunteer for snowplow duty, according to city officials.
Field Training Officer Patrick Burns was recently honored as the DPS Employee of the Second Quarter. Boyer presented Burns with a plaque and check recognizing him as "one of the most knowledgeable, loyal, and dependable officers assigned to Fire Division," in the words of his nominating sergeant and being "highly respected by both his peers and supervisors."
SIKESTON - Christy Chandler, a resident of Benton, is the newest member of the accounting department of the Dewitt Company.
Joining the DeWitt team in 2002 as the staff accountant, Chandler helps the company by performing month end closing procedures, analyzing accounts and performing payroll functions.
Chandler graduated from Southeast Missouri State University in May 2002 with a bachelor's degree in accounting.
Dewitt Company is locally owned by Larry DeWitt and is an international landscaping manufacturer of products and plant fabrics for the lawn and garden industry.
