SIKESTON - Large crowds are attracted by the revival now in progress at the Assembly of God Church on Matthews and Warner streets. The Rev. Floyd E. Heady, evangelist, is a forceful and interesting speaker. The attendance last Sunday was 252.

LILBOURN - Long-suffering Lilbourn housewives have welcomed news from the board of aldermen that a pressure water treatment plant is about to become a reality. They can visualize wash day without those unsightly rust stains.

SIKESTON - Monday the Ray Clinton Construction Company will start work on an addition to the Malone and Hyde plant on West Malone that will provide 45,000 additional square feet of warehousing, bringing the total warehouse and office space to about 180,000 feet.

CANALOU - No, it isn't double vision. Twin brothers John and Jeremy Lewis will marry look-alike sisters Rita and Trena Vaughn on Saturday (June 12). They say public appearances often result in confusion for the strangers they see.

CHARLESTON - Charleston Public Safety Officers Darrin Skinner and Todd Davenport received special plaques from East Prairie Mayor Lonnie Thurmond in appreciation for their services in instructing a Firefighter One Course, attended by five East Prairie firemen.
