Butler - 50th

SIKESTON - The Rev. and Mrs. Billie Butler will be honored with a 50th anniversary celebration from 2 to 4 p.m. March 15 at the Best Western Coach House Inn in Sikeston. Butler and the former Velma Louise Sanders were married March 15, 1953, in Sikeston.

Their children are Donna Butler Jayroe of Forrest City, Ark., David Butler of Cape Girardeau, Darla Butler Yoakum of St. Peters and the late Dennis Butler. They also have five grandchildren.

Butler founded the First United Pentecostal Church in Sikeston in 1951, where he served as pastor until retiring in 2001. He continues to participate in church functions. The couple enjoys traveling and spending tie with their children.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend the reception and the couple requests that gifts be omitted.
