DEXTER - Clarence R. Still, 73, died May 23, 2003, at his home in Dexter.
Born April 20, 1930, in Poplar Bluff to the late Jown W. and Pearl Mae Harrold Still, he moved to Dexter in 1994. A veteran of the U.S. Army, he served three tours in Germany along with tours in Korea, Vietnam and Panama. He was a member of the Friendship Baptist Church in Dexter.
On Aug. 14, 1951, in Kenbridge, Va., he married Alice M. Gockley, who survives of Dexter.
Other survivors include: three sons, Robert Dale Still, Gary Wayne Still and Patrick Neal Still of Dexter; three daughters, Jennifer Kay Rountree of Claxton, Ga., Cheryl Marie Long of Strasburg, Va., and Carolyn Louis Richardson of Charleston, S.C.; two brothers, Otis Still of Fort Wayne, Ind., and Kenneth Still of Pacific; one sister, Helen Calvert of Miller; and 18 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers and one sister.
Funeral services were conducted at 11 a.m. today at Watkins and Sons Funeral Home in Dexter with the Rev. Keith Garland of Dexter officiating.
Burial will follow at a later date in the Missouri Veteran's Cemetery in Bloomfield.
