DEXTER - Jimmie Dale Jackson, 57, died May 24, 2003, at the University Hospital in Madison, Wis.

Born April 9, 1946, in Kennett, son of the late Elvis Grady and Susie McDonald Jackson, he retied from the U.S. Navy where he was a data systems technician and recruiter.

On Aug. 12, 1977, in Kennett, he married Laura Mitchell who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: six sons, Jim Jr. and Kevin of Madison, David of Jacksonville, Fla., Chuck of Sikeston and Elvis and Mike of Dexter; four sisters, Bonita Sue Mines of DeSoto, Mich., Linda Marie Brandon of Portageville and Carol Ann Hoggard and Rose Mary Jackson of Dexter; and seven grandchildren, Daniel, Cassie, Chase, Emily, Meghan, Drew and Karly.

Two brothers, Bobby Gene Jackson and Charles Grady Jackson, preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Rainey-Mathis Funeral Home in Dexter where services are scheduled for 10 a.m. Wednesday. The Rev. Richard Blagg will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Lulu Cemetery at Senath.
