Melvin Cureton

BELL CITY - Charles "Melvin" Cureton, 69, died March 15, 2003, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.

Born Dec. 12, 1933, in Bessville, son of the late Charlie and Dessie Skaggs Cureton, he was a farmer.

On June 22, 1968, at Holcomb, he married Wanda Hamm who survives of the home.

Other survivors include: one son, Charlie Cureton of Bell City; one daughter, Regina Cureton of Bell City; four brothers, Ernest Cureton of Dexter, Buck Cureton of Sikeston and Curtis Cureton and Milford Cureton of Vanduser; three sisters, Berdean Wilkerson and Katherine Hamilton of Blodgett; and two grandchildren.

Two brothers preceded him in death.

Visitation is from 9 a.m. Tuesday until service time at 11 a.m. at Morgan Funeral Home in Advance. Don Jolliff will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Gravel Hill Cemetery at Bell City.
